Melbourne International Comedy Festival

We are thrilled to be producing the debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival show for the very funny Luis and Family.

We at TBAAG have briefly shuffled out of our dank writerly caves to take on producing duties for this extremely funny young man and his family, in their debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival show.

Luis and family have been wowing people all over the shop of late; last week bringing their jokes, jumpers and framed hologrammatic cat pictures to Justin Hamilton’s excellent night The Shelf.

Luis, Len and Luelin also recently took out the Victorian final of Raw Comedy, and will compete in the National Final at the Melbourne Town Hall next Sunday 15 April, to be broadcast on ABC later this year.

They are only doing four shows at the Comedy Festival, 12 – 15 April (Thu – Sat 8pm, Sun 8:30pm).
Buy your tickets here. The first show is already sold out and the others look like they’ll do so very soon.

They are really quite astonishingly sweet, silly and very funny. We’re only helping out because we’re total superfans (and in the hope that we can adopt Len as our spare Dad).

As for the rest of this festival… While we’ve yet to make extensive use of our coveted artist passes and take in a heap of shows, we strongly urge you to see this talented chap, Dr Professor Neal Portenza who is all kinds of amazing as your host for pretty much the greatest party ever. He finishes tomorrow, so get cracking. I mean, holy shit, just look at the guy’s website.

We also caught another Tuxedo Cat-dwelling doctor, Dr Brown, over at the Adelaide Fringe. There is a reason everyone is telling you that you need to see this show. Because you freaking DO. Mindblowing.

We’ll add other recommended shows as we stumble across them.

We are proud to announce that The Peep Jeep is about to cause confusion Stateside after gaining official selection to two festivals.

We are extremely proud to announce that our series The Peep Jeep is about to cause widespread confusion Stateside after gaining official selection to two US-based festivals.

The Peep Jeep was selected for the 2012 Los Angeles Web Series Festival alongside two of our fellow Lost Dog Season 1 shows, The Broken Ones and Fever Dreams.

The LA Webfest is the world’s first web series festival, and includes screenings, events and workshops from April 6-8 in Los Angeles. This year, selected winners can win an expenses-paid trip to the Marseille Webfest in the South of France. We’re already polishing our baguettes in anticipation.

The Peep Jeep has also been selected for another LA-based web series festival, The HollyWeb Festival on March 31st.

TBAAG is grateful to the United States of America for allowing our idiocy into your country.
